This activity is part of the DOC-COURSE program organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Seville (IMUS) for the year 2015. In this case, it will be co-organized with the University of the Basque Country and Basque Center for applied Mathematics (BCAM). It is addressed to beginner and intermediate graduate students from institutions all over the world interested in Applied Mathematics, Optimization and related areas

The program has been designed to provide the participants enough background as well as research skills in several areas of Applied Mathematics and Optimization. The design has been thought to provide the attendants a comprehensive background and an easy transition from classical subjects to more advanced material.

This doc-course is a twelve-weeks intensive school from 2-nd March till 29-th May, 2015 and it consists of four weeks of courses in Seville, 6 weeks of research activity under the guidance of specialized supervisors and two Workshops (the 5-th week in Seville and the last week in Bilbao) where the participants will have the opportunity to report on the work made during the whole course. The official language of the doc-course will be English. Participants will receive a diploma of the organizing institutions certifying their good performance

During the courses and workshops, several leading researchers in different areas of Applied Mathematics and Optimization will be invited to deliver seminars and talks providing a wide view of the current challenges in their areas.

The maximum number of students will be 25. We may provide full financial support for accommodation, living expenses during the doc-course and also for traveling between Seville and Bilbao. Participants must cover travelling to come to Seville and to get back to their respective places. In addition, a reduced registration fee of 200 euros will be charged to each participant.
