This activity is part of the DOC-COURSE program organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Sevilla (IMUS) for the year 2013. In this case, it will be co-organized with the University of Málaga. It is addressed to beginner and intermediate graduate students from institutions all over the world interested in Complex Analysis and related areas.
The program has been designed to provide the participants enough background as well as research skills in several areas of Complex Analysis of current interest. The intention is to facilitate a quick transition from basic concepts to open problems.
This is a six-week intensive school with starting date February 4th, 2013 and it consists of four weeks of courses in Sevilla (one week of introductory courses and three weeks for the six main courses) and a Workshop (the last week) in Málaga where the participants will have the opportunity to report on the work made during the whole course. This work should come from the research carried out under the supervision and guidance of an assigned academic tutor.
During the courses and the final workshop, several leading researchers in different areas of Complex Analysis will be invited to deliver conferences providing a wide view of the current challenges in their areas.
The maximum number of students will be around 30 and we do hope to be able to have full financial support for at least 15 of them.
The applicants should fill out the online form available at the link below. Those wishing to be considered for financial support should indicate so in their application form.
